Something that you believe is true without having any proof.
The most difficult subjects can be explained to the most slow-witted man if he has not formed any idea of them already; but the simplest thing cannot be made clear to the most intelligent man if he is firmly persuaded that he knows already, without a shadow of doubt, what is laid before him.

I’m the same as I was when I was 6 years old
And oh my God I feel so damn old

On a plane, I can see the tiny lights below
And oh my God, they look so alone

Words like violence,
break the silence
Come crashing in,
Into my little world

Painful to me
Pierce right through me
Can’t you understand?
Stand in the place where you live
(now face North)
Think about direction,
wonder why you haven’t before…

Now stand in the place where you work
Now face West,
think about the place where you live

Wonder why you haven’t before…

The old blueprint no longer manifests itself
as the correct way to exist –
wipe the grime off the view hole
Another reason why the Greeks rejected Aristarchus’ Solar
System was its apparent failure to stand up to scientific scrutiny.
Aristarchus had built a model of the universe that was supposed to match reality, but it was not clear that his model was accurate.
Did the Earth really orbit the Sun?
And as I roll along, I begin to find,
Things aren’t always just what they seem

One more sun comes sliding down the sky
One more shadow leans against the wall

God appears as the architect of the world, shaping the universe with the aid of a compass. Within the perfect circle already created are the spherical sun and moon and the unformed matter that will become the earth once God applies the same geometric principles to it.

Albert Pike (December 29, 1809 – April 2, 1891) was an American author, poet, orator, editor, lawyer, jurist and Confederate States Army general who served as an associate justice of the Arkansas Supreme Court in exile from 1864 to 1865. He had previously served as a senior officer of the Confederate States Army, commanding the District of Indian Territory in the Trans-Mississippi Theater. A prominent member of the Freemasons, Pike served as the Sovereign Grand Commander of the Supreme Council, Scottish Rite, Southern Jurisdiction from 1859 to 1891.
The Square is a right angle, formed by two right lines. It is adapted only to a plane surface, and belongs only to geometry, earth-measurement, that trigonometry which deals only with planes, and with the earth, which the ancients supposed to be a plane. The Compass describes circles, and deals with spherical trigonometry, the science of the spheres and heavens.

Morals and Dogma of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, or simply Morals and Dogma, is a book of esoteric philosophy published by the Supreme Council, Thirty Third Degree, of the Scottish Rite, Southern Jurisdiction of the United States. It was compiled by Albert Pike, was first published in 1871 and was regularly reprinted thereafter until 1969.

It gets old when you talk to the sun
In a tongue understood by no one

It’s the terror of knowing
what this world is about
Watching some good friends screaming,
“let me out“

One day,
I gotta get out of here
I gotta make everything clear
I gotta see you

Steeple guide me to my heart and home

The truth’s gonna come around –
The sky is the limit now

Take it to the limit
One more time

The universe works on a math equation
that never even ever really ends in the end
Infinity spirals out creation

Pinwheel, pinwheel, spinning around.
Look at my Pinwheel and see what I’ve found.

Well, we ain’t sure where you stand
You ain’t machines, and you ain’t land

And the plants and the animals, they are linked
And the plants and the animals eat each other

Will you tell me what you saw
and I’ll tell you what you missed,
when the ocean met the sky.

Well I’m just a boy with a broken toy
all lost and coy.
So it’s here I stand as a broken man
but I found my friend.

We just want to dance here,
someone stole the stage
I can feel it.

I can feel the earth moving.

It’s moving too fast. Raj, slow it down.

It’s lost and can’t be found
It’s spinning round and round
Slow it down

Now take it in but
don’t look down

Ripple in still water
When there is no pebble tossed
Nor wind to blow
It is the supreme challenge, and a brutal one, but every scientific theory must be testable and compatible with reality. The nineteenth-century naturalist Thomas Huxley stated it thus:
‘The great tragedy of Science — the slaying of a beautiful hypothesis by an ugly fact.’
If wishes were trees
the trees would be falling

Listen to reason
Reason is calling

Listen to reason
Season is calling

The paper holds their folded faces to the floor
and every day the paper boy brings more

People asking questions,
lost in confusion

What good is livin’ the life you’ve been given
If all you do is stand in place?
First, the Greeks expected that if the Earth moved then we would feel a constant wind blowing against us, and we would be swept off our feet as the ground raced from under us. However, we feel no such constant wind, and neither is the ground tugged away, so the Greeks concluded that the Earth must be stationary.

I have done a good thing,
I’ve got you moving,
everybody’s dancing

Gravity release me,
and don’t ever hold me down.
Now my feet won’t touch the ground
Stand in the place where you are
(now face North)
Stand in the place where you are
(now face West)

No longer riding on the merry-go-round.
I just had to let it go.

Why don’t you make like a tree
and get outta here?
Biff Tannen
Back to the Future II

‘Round here,
we always stand up straight

Feeling kinda tilted and I’m pouring out
the truth, just fading out these talkers
‘cause now all I want is you.

L. Fletcher Prouty (January 24, 1917 – June 5, 2001) served as Chief of Special Operations for the Joint Chiefs of Staff under President John F. Kennedy. A colonel in the United States Air Force, he retired from military service to become a bank executive.
Being a sphere, it therefore had to be a finite object, with a finite—that is, limited—surface area. With this awakening the ideas of world trade and related colonial proprietary rights were born.

Take it to the limit
One more time

Why are things so heavy in the future?
Is there a problem with the earth’s gravitational pull?

How long am I gonna stand,
with my head stuck under the sand?
I’ll start before I can stop or
before I see things the right way up

If you should stand,
then who’s to guide you
If I knew the way,
I would take you home
