Do These Things I’m Seein’, Have Any Hidden Meaning?

Doctor please believe me,
I know you won’t decieve me,
But do these things I’m seein’,
have any hidden meaning?
Electric Light Orchestra (ELO) are an English rock band formed in Birmingham in 1970 by multi-instrumentalists Jeff Lynne and Roy Wood and drummer Bev Bevan. Their music is characterised by a fusion of pop and classical arrangements with futuristic iconography. After Wood's departure in 1972, Lynne became the band's sole leader, co-arranging and producing every album while writing nearly all of their original material. During their first run from 1970 to 1986, Lynne and Bevan were the group's only consistent members.

Doctor please believe me,
I know you won’t decieve me,
But do these things I’m seein’,
have any hidden meaning?

Sitting ’til the sun goes down –
In dreams, the world keeps going
’round and ’round

Yeah, I’ve got a ticket to the moon,
but I’d rather see the sunrise –
In your eyes

And I can’t get it out of my head –
No, I can’t get it out of my head –
Now my old world is gone for dead,
’cause I can’t get it out of my head

One day,
I gotta get out of here
I gotta make everything clear
I gotta see you

The secret messages are calling to me endlessly
They call to me across the air

Oh you, you keep me hangin’
‘Round and ’round and ’round and ’round
