Love’s got the world in motion
and I know what we can do –
Love’s got the world in motion
and I can’t believe it’s true
The world is spinning, turning day to night –
And my thoughts are running at the speed of light

…but I feel it still

The symbols and ceremonies of Masonry have more than one meaning. They rather conceal than disclose the Truth. They hint it only, at least; and their varied meanings are only to be discovered by reflection and study.
Truth is not only symbolized by Light, but as the ray of light is separable into rays of different colors, so is truth separable into kinds.
It is the province of Masonry to teach all truths—not moral truth alone, but political and philosophical, and even religious truth, so far as concerns the great and essential principles of each.
The hint of the century

That’s great
it starts with an earthquake

I feel the earth move under my feet

I could feel the whole world
turn round underneath me
Rod Stewart / The Shotgun Express
I Could Feel The Whole World Turn Round
But that was just a dream
That was just a dream

All I ever wanted,
All I ever needed,
Is here in my arms

The lengths that I will go to
The distance in your eyes
Oh no, I’ve said too much

Will you tell me what you saw
and I’ll tell you what you missed,
when the ocean met the sky.

We’d better think about
the games we play
The world went round,
around and round
For one thing, the esoteric tradition deals in imagery and symbols, the meanings of which are often complex and multiple, and which elude the left brain’s demand for clarity and definiteness; they are more attuned to what McGilchrist calls the right brain’s “both/and” approach, rather than the left brain’s “either/or.

And Albert’s vision’s blooming uncontrolled –
All his wings are slowly sinking

And oh my dreams,
It’s never quite as it seems

For an eggman, falling off a wall –
He’ll never be together again
I thought that I heard you laughing

I hope that you’ll understand,
there’s a reason why –
Close your, close your, close your eyes

Every time I look at you,
I go blind

Take these broken wings,
and learn to fly again,
learn to live so free
In order to understand the world intellectually, the left brain has to distance itself from it and turn it into an object.

Tell me lies
Tell me sweet little lies

Hey, wait,
I got a new complaint,
Forever in debt to your priceless advice…

Oh Life is bigger
It’s bigger than you
And you are not me
The lengths that I will go to
The distance in your eyes
Oh no I’ve said too much
I set it up
That’s me in the corner
That’s me in the spotlight
Losing my religion
Trying to keep up with you
And I don’t know if I can do it
Oh no I’ve said too much
I haven’t said enough
I thought that I heard you laughing
I thought that I heard you sing
I think I thought I saw you try
Every whisper
Of every waking hour I’m
Choosing my confessions
Trying to keep an eye on you
Like a hurt lost and blinded fool
Oh no I’ve said too much
I set it up
Consider this
The hint of the century
Consider this
The slip that brought me
To my knees failed
What if all these fantasies
Come flailing around
Now I’ve said too much
I thought that I heard you laughing
I thought that I heard you sing
I think I thought I saw you try
But that was just a dream
That was just a dream

‘Cause you’re a dream to me,
dream to me
