A NEW way of looking at the universe and man’s place in it was urged upon the scientific world by Lawrence K. Frank, of the Josiah Macy Jr. Foundation, New York, before the American Association for the Advancement of Science.
Such a cultural new deal is needed to bring order into our society and personal lives.

We’ll begin with a spin –
Traveling in the world of my creation
Lawrence Kelso Frank (December 6, 1890 – September 23, 1968) was an American social scientist, administrator, and parent educator, particularly known as vice-president of the Josiah Macy Jr. Foundation and together with Frank Fremont-Smith initiator of the Macy conferences.
Four great problems that men at all times have had to face need new interpretation, in his opinion.
These are:
1. How the universe arose or was created, how it operates, who or what makes things happen and why.
2. Man’s origin, nature and destiny, his relation to the world, and whether he is a part of nature or outside it.
3. The relation of the individual to the group, who must be sacrificed for whom, the individual’s rights and obligations.
4. What man wants and what he should have, human nature, human conduct, human motives, how he should be educated and made a part of the community.

The world is spinning, turning day to night –

And simplify this dizzy life –

WASHINGTON, Aug. 1 — Several prominent medical research ‘institutions and Government hospitals in the United States and Canada were involved in secret, 25‐year, $25‐million effort by the Central Intelligence Agency to learn how to control the human mind.

The use of philanthropic organizations was a convenient way to pass funds, in that large amounts could be transferred rapidly, and in a form that need not alert unwitting officers of the recipient organizations to their source. In addition, foundation grants bestowed upon the recipient the apparent “blessing” of the foundation.
The funding pattern involved a mixture of bona fide charitable foundations, devised foundations and funds, “front men” drawn from a list of America’s most prominent citizens, and lawyers representing undisclosed clients.
The existence of the agency’s investigations into behavior and thought control was previously known. But through access to 2,000 C.I.A. documents and wideranging interviews, a group of New York Times reporters has developed new information about the cost of the program, the range of its penetration into prestigious research centers, the identities of some institutions, the secret funding conduits of the agency and the concerns about the program expressed by some scientists.

The political, military, and economic pillars of this long range plan cannot fully support a World Order without the fourth pillar – a global religion – standing beneath the fourth corner, lest the structure collapse. It is that simple.
The CIA’s intrusion into the foundation field in the 1960s can only be described as massive. Excluding grants from the “Big Three”- Ford, Rockefeller, and Carnegie–of the 700 grants over $10,000 given by 164 other foundations during the period 1963-1966, at least 108 involved partial or complete CIA funding.
More importantly, CIA funding was involved in nearly half the grants the non-“Big Three” foundations made during. this period in the field of international activities. In the same period more than one-third of the grants awarded by non-“Big Three” in the physical, life and social sciences also involved CIA funds.
It channeled funds through three private medical research foundations. One of these, the Geschikter Foundation for Medical Research in Washington, D.C., is still active. Another, the Society for the Investigation of Human Ecology Inc., was disbanded in 1965. A third named in one report was the Josiah Macy Jr. Foundation…

Let’s briefly consider the spiritual part of this agenda:
Religious differences are seen as the final barrier, separating various ethnic populations.
Until these differences are broken down, divergent cultures will never fully meld into a One World Order.

Look up to the skies
and see
Some even believe we are part of a secret cabal working against the best interests of the United States, characterizing my family and me as “internationalists” and of conspiring with others around the world to build a more integrated global political and economic structure—one world, if you will.
If that’s the charge, I stand guilty, and I am proud of it.
Thus, we may say that a new idea disturbs the existing
stock of ideas and distorts the accepted frame of reference. In our endeavor to restore the former coherence and balance, to remedy the disturbing situation, we are compelled to examine these other ideas and assumptions.

Science has given new answers to all these problems in recent years but most of the people do not know them. And those who know, often do not feel them. For this reason, Mr. Frank considers the rebuilding of our culture the most insistent task before us.
‘The task of constructing a framework of concepts and beliefs to give order, meaning, and significance to life becomes ever more insistent,’ he said.
‘But it must be clearly recognized that this is essentially an artistic task…
