All You Touch and All You See, Is All Your Life Will Ever Be

And all you touch and all you see,
is all your life will ever be
Pink Floyd are an English rock band formed in London in 1965 by Syd Barrett, Nick Mason (drums), Roger Waters and Richard Wright, with David Gilmour joining at the end of 1967. Gaining an early underground following as one of the first British psychedelic groups, they were distinguished by their extended compositions, sonic experiments, philosophical lyrics, and elaborate live performances, becoming a leading progressive rock band.

And all you touch and all you see,
is all your life will ever be

All in all it’s just another brick in the wall –
All in all you’re just another brick in the wall

And who knows
which is which
and who is who

For long you live and high you fly,
but only if you ride the tide –
And balanced on the biggest wave,
you race towards an early grave

And everything under the sun is in tune,
but the sun is eclipsed by the moon

Can’t keep my eyes from the circling sky

Can’t keep my mind from the circling sky

Up and down
And in the end it’s only
round and round

Is there anybody in there?
Just nod if you can hear me –
Is there anyone home?

Tongue-tied and twisted,
just an earth-bound misfit, I

Our weary eyes still stray to the horizon

The child is grown,
the dream is gone

The paper holds their folded faces to the floor
and every day the paper boy brings more

There is no dark side in the moon, really.
Matter of fact, it’s all dark.
The only thing that makes it look light is the sun.

You make the change
You rearrange me till I’m sane
You lock the door and throw away the key
And there’s someone in my head
but it’s not me

Using words you will find are strange –
Mesmerized as they light the flame –
Feel the new wind of change

We don’t need no education –
We don’t need no thought control

There is no pain you are receding –
A distant ship, smoke on the horizon –
You are only coming through in waves –
Your lips move but I can’t hear
what you’re saying
