We Are Afflicted by Fiction

You don’t have to hold your head up high
Round and round
I won’t run away this time
Till you show me what this life is for
Round and round
I’m not gonna let you change my mind
Till you show me what this life is for

Round and round
I won’t run away this time
Till you show me what this life is for
Round and round
I’m not gonna let you change my mind
Till you show me what this life is for

I want you to be free –
Don’t worry about me

Fiction means
it’s a made-up story.

Sweet dreams are made of this
Who am I to disagree?

I bought a ticket to the world,
but now I’ve come back again –
Why do I find it hard to write the next line?
Oh I want the truth to be said

Round and round it goes
and oh, don’t you know,
oh, this is the game
that we came here for

In our short years, we come long way,
to treat it bad and throw it –
And if we make a little space,
a science fiction showcase

How do you balance science with science fiction?

I know this much is true

Abductive Reasoning

A method of reasoning in which one chooses the hypothesis that would, if true, best explain the relevant evidence.

I wander through fiction to look for the truth –
Buried beneath all the lies –
And I stood at a distance to feel who you are –
Hiding myself in your eyes

And just like the movies,
we play out our last scene

You’re always saying, “I guess.”
“That worked, I guess. I’ll see you later, I guess.”

That’s how the story goes

You’re a Scientist. Stop Guessing.
Know. Or Be Quite. That Is All.

That’s the way it goes –
I guess
